VOID OTN - News about Avatar: The Last Airbender is always highly anticipated. This time, we’ll be discussing everything you need to know about Avatar: The Last Airbender. Be sure to read this article all the way through!

According to its official Steam listing, publisher GameMill Entertainment recently released a statement confirming the impending delisting of Avatar: The Last Airbender — Quest for Balance. GameMill attributes this decision to the expiration of its licensing agreement for the title, making no mention of the low player numbers or negative reviews that have troubled the title since its 2023 release.

Avatar: The Last Airbender — Quest for Balance Will Be Delisted

GameMill Entertainment explains: "We are reaching out to let you know that Avatar: The Last Airbender — Quest for Balance will be delisted from Steam at the end of December 2026 due to the expiration of our licensing agreement for this game. If you have already purchased the game, there is nothing to worry about: it will remain in your library, and you will still be able to play it without any restrictions. Thank you for your continued support!"

Developed by Bamtang Games, Avatar: The Last Airbender — Quest for Balance was released in 2023 for the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and PC via Steam. Set shortly after the events of the original Avatar: The Last Airbender animated series, the action-adventure title offers players a chance to revisit its most iconic moments across 18 chapters, as retold -- and occasionally embellished -- by Pakku, Bumi and Iroh.

Across the game's various levels, Quest for Balance allows players to take control of franchise icons ranging from Toph and Sokka to Zuko and of course, Avatar Aang himself. The official game description reads, "Team Avatar is back! Relive the epic adventure of the original Avatar: The Last Airbender series, as you play as Aang and his 8 friends to explore the most unique locations from the series, solve challenging puzzles and experience the most heart touching moments of Aang's story."

Unfortunately, Avatar: The Last Airbender — Quest for Balance received largely negative responses from critics and gamers upon its release. As of writing, Steam classifies its overall player reception as "Mostly Negative," based on 158 total reviews. Its PC edition also holds a "Generally Unfavorable" User Score on Metacritic of 4.1/10, based on 35 player ratings.

Despite this, the title does also have several perfect reviews, which hail it as a bug-free action-adventure experience that is up-front about exactly what kind of gaming experience it has to offer. Less positive responses, on the other hand, point towards Quest for Balance's quickly repetitive, occasionally baffling gameplay and lack of any notable mechanics.

Fortunately, fans of the Avatar: The Last Airbender franchise have several other ways to enjoy their favorite IP in the world of gaming. In July, Avatar Legends: The Fighting Game was released for the Nintendo Switch, PS5 and Steam, while it also arrived on Xbox in September and Nintendo Switch 2 in October. The title has since received near-universally positive reviews from critics, as well as a largely positive response from players.
