VOIDMANGA – Fans of soccer anime have another reason to look forward to the fall 2026 season as Aoashi Season 2 has released a fresh main trailer. The new promotional video gives viewers a glimpse of the upcoming story while also introducing the musical themes that will accompany Ashito Aoi and his teammates.

The second season is officially scheduled to begin broadcasting on October 4, 2026. Episodes will air every Sunday at 5:00 p.m. on NHK E-Tele in Japan, giving the series a regular weekend slot as it continues Ashito's journey through competitive youth soccer.


The newly released trailer also highlights the season's musical direction. Japanese rock group 10-FEET is responsible for the opening song, while singer-songwriter Ai Higuchi contributes the ending theme. Both tracks can be heard in the latest promotional footage, adding another layer of energy to the upcoming matches and character developments.

Another major change for the sequel is the studio handling its animation. TMS Entertainment will produce the second season after Production I.G, which animated the first installment, handled the first season. The change marks a new production phase for the adaptation as Ashito moves further into the demanding world of elite youth football.

Season 2 is planned to contain 24 episodes, with its first cour covering the initial 12 installments. The story will continue following Ashito after his development within Tokyo City Esperion's youth system, where his abilities are tested against stronger players and increasingly demanding tactical challenges.

The anime originates from Yugo Kobayashi's Aoashi manga, which began serialization in Shogakukan's Weekly Big Comic Spirits in 2015. The manga eventually surpassed 20 million copies in circulation and concluded with a total of 40 volumes, establishing the series as one of the better-known modern soccer manga titles.
